When you scan a barcode in the app, the barcode is sent to the Open Food Facts API to retrieve product information such as ingredients, nutrition facts, and brand details. Open Food Facts is a collaborative, free, and open database of food products. Source: https://world.openfoodfacts.org.

No personal data is shared with Open Food Facts unless you explicitly provide it. Scanned product data is used only to display information within the app.

AI-powered insights, provided by ChatGPT (OpenAI), are generated based on the product information retrieved from Open Food Facts.

For image-based product analysis, only the selected food image and related product context needed for analysis are sent to ChatGPT (OpenAI). We do not intentionally send personal profile data for AI responses.
